Background & Qualifications

       Qualified as a primary teacher (PE) from Stranmillis in 1990
       Completed a Ph.D. and lectured part-time at the University of Ulster from 1990-1994
       Employment: 1994-96 Policy Development officer (play & Leisure) with PlayBoard and Newtownabbey Borough Council, 1996-1998 European Projects/Funding Officer with the Childhood Fund, 1998-2001 manager of Early Years Curriculum/specialist staff with NiPPA The Early Years Organisation, 2001-2005 Manager/Childcare Partnership Co-ordinator with Ulster Community & Hospitals Trust.
