Courses

The project offers two different courses;

Exploring Skills in CREDIT
This would be suitable for teachers who feel they would like to develop basic skills in this area. It may also be relevant to teachers who have qualified outside Northern Ireland and others whose previous professional opportunities have not included consideration of, or experience in, these areas of practice.

 
Duration:   3 days:  2 day course plus 1 day follow up  
Location:   Belfast (Stranmillis University College and St. Mary's University College)   
                 
Dates:      23rd, 24th October and 14th November 2013     

 

Upon full attendance and completion of a presentation task requiring students to reflect on the course and prepare a proposal for a future programme for their school, participants will receive a CREDIT Certificate.  


Extending skills in CREDIT
This is a more in-depth course equipping participants to embed good practice in this area into their own settings. Applicants for this course would need to show an existing awareness of community engagement issues whether through successful completion of the introductory course or by other suitable evidence.

 
Duration:   5days:  2 day course plus 2 day residential plus 1 day follow up  
Location:   Belfast (Stranmillis University College and St. Mary's University College)
                
Dates:     24th, 25th September, 17th, 18th October and 13th November 2013

 
Leadership Skills in CREDIT
This course is suitable for principals who want to lead the school forward in CRED practices through practical consideration of planning, implimentation, monitoring and reviewing at a whole-school level.
 
 
Duration:     3days: 2 day course plus 1 day follow up
Location:     Belfast (Stranmillis University College and St. Mary's University College)
 
Dates:        5th, 6th and 28th November 2013


Upon full attendance and completion of a written assessment, participants will receive a CREDIT Certificate. Those attending the full course ‘Extending Skills in CREDIT’ can elect to receive M-Level credit at a greatly reduced price upon completion of addition assessment.
