Did you know ... Writer Jonathan Swift is said to have been inspired by the sight of
Belfast’s Cave Hill (pictured above) to pen his most famous work “Gulliver’s Travels”.

Public Transport

Belfast is a large city with a wide travel network using both railway and bus systems. Both of these are reliable cheap ways to get around the city no matter where you want to go. They are also an excellent way to see the world-famous sights of Northern Ireland including the Giants Causeway.

Taxis are relatively cheap and easily available. London-style metered cabs operate from airports and railways stations: private cabs are plentiful and can be booked by telephone.

Students can also get around by bicycle and there are cycle parking facilities at most locations around campus.
