COUNSELLING

CARECALL provides a free and confidential service to any student who is in difficulty or who has concerns that they need to discuss. Counselling is carried out in a supportive, caring and non-judgemental way. Carecall can give you immediate one-to-one support. Call the freephone anytime, day or night, and a professional counsellor will be there to help you. You can also arrange to see a counsellor in person, through the same number or through the  general line, 02890245821 (9am-5pm).

 IN CASE OF A SUICIDE ATTEMPT

1)      Immediately call 999 if a person requires medical attention

2)      After calling 999, call Security at 028 9038 4356

3)      Calm the suicidal person, if possible

4)      Don’t put yourself in danger

5)      Stay with the person until intervention arrives. Do not leave a suicidal person alone.
