How do I make an appointment?

To make an appointment you should contact the Disability Officer directly.  Alternatively contact or call into the Student Support Centre, which is open Monday to Friday 9.00am-1.00pm and 2.00pm-5.00pm (Friday 4.25pm).

The Disability Officer can be contacted by telephone (028 9038 4513) or email (b.booth@stran.ac.uk or disabilityservices@stran.ac.uk).

How do I register with Disability Services?

To register with Disability Services you will need to attend an assessment interview with the Disability Officer.  If you disclose your disability on your application form you will automatically be invited to meet with the Disability Officer for an assessment interview once you have accepted your firm offer.

The purpose of the assessment interview is to determine what support is appropriate for you throughout your time at Stranmillis University College.

Should I declare my disability?

Deciding to disclose your disability is a personal decision.  However, it is strongly recommended that any student with a disability or additional needs due to a medical or other difficulty register with Disability Services as soon as possible.

Any information regarding your support needs will only be disclosed on a “need to know” basis to those staff who require it in order to make any necessary adjustments.

No information will be disclosed without your consent being given and confidentiality and privacy will be respected at all times.
