This course provides a mix of outdoor ‘hands on’ and classroom activities, incorporating a walk around campus. Research and planning are the key first steps to creating your outdoor space. Learn about the soil and how to improve it and explore eco-friendly methods to protect plants. Discover how to encourage birds, bees and butterflies into your garden through plant choices. The final weeks will include tips on container planting and improving your lawn. You may benefit from bringing along a notebook and pencil.

My journey began with an admiration for the intricate beauty of plant life and a desire to create outdoor spaces that inspire. My expertise spans a spectrum of horticultural practices, from simple daily maintenance to landscape design to plant production, growth and management. I have had my work featured in Bord Bia Bloom in Phoenix Park, the Birmingham NEC and more locally, The Balmoral Show.
