A Big Coffee Morning and a Big Farewell!
On Friday, staff enjoyed good chat and coffee along with some delicious cupcakes and traybakes (made in-house by our Hospitality team!), raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support as part of the charity’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
The event also provided staff with an opportunity to say ‘farewell’ to our outgoing Head of Hospitality, Accommodation and Conferencing Services, Christine Nesbitt. Christine has served the University College for over 29 years, and will be a familiar face to many students and staff, past and present.
Acknowledging her long service, Principal and CEO, Prof. Jonathan Heggarty said: “We wish our colleague Christine all the best for the future as she retires from Stranmillis after 29 years. Throughout her time with us, Christine has been dedicated in ensuring that students, staff and visitors receive the very best of service in relation to hospitality, accommodation and conferences and we know that Christine will greatly enjoy the additional time that she will now have to pursue a wide range of interests and activities. ”
Best wishes to Christine from everyone at Stranmillis!
