Studying abroad
With 30+ partner institutes worldwide, you can broaden your horizons through our exchange and volunteering programmes
The opportunity to study or volunteer abroad is an enriching experience, academically as well as personally. A third of our students take up the opportunity to spend a semester, or shorter period, living and studying abroad at one of our 30+ partner institutions worldwide through the Erasmus+ and International Exchange programmes. Those opportunities are open to all of our students, and you will be encouraged and supported to make the most of the opportunities on offer.

There are many reasons: exploring, experiencing and sharing different cultures; improving your language skills; acquiring new perspectives on teaching and learning; or enhancing your independence and confidence. The reasons may be varied, but one thing stays the same – it’s an experience you will remember for life.

Stranmillis has developed close ties with a number of education-related charities such as Fields of Life and Saphara, with student volunteer teams regularly getting involved in innovative and inspirational projects in Uganda and India.
