CHH004 Belfast: Its First 500 Million Years – Part 1

A study of the Belfast Regional Area, from its geological and tectonic origins, through the Pleistocene glaciations, to the first human arrivals and the founding and growth of the modern city. The full course consists of two parts each lasting 6 weeks – the Physical and the Human stories – four class based weeks and two related field walks. Each six week part can be taken on its own or combined to tell the whole story of our remarkable part of the planet.
