CPD requirements across professional bodies for assessors in psychometric testing in the UK
Journal ArticleAbstract
This article considers Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements across the British Psychological Society (BPS), the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and other professional bodies whose members conduct psychometric assessment tests but are not Psychologists. A critical comparison of standards across such bodies outlines a wider scope for planning and consideration of CPD needs on an individual level. Implications are provided for Psychologists who need to maintain a record of their CPD, as well as implications for the BPS and the HCPC, as each organisation monitors CPD for continued registration purposes.
