Restart and Recovery Programme
The Restart and Recovery Programme is a high quality, engaging and interactive suite of School Resources for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 children, parents and teachers developed by our Widening Participation team and Student Ambassadors, in partnership with Parentkind NI and Barnardos, to provide lessons, supporting resources and guides for teachers and parents on key aspects of the literacy and numeracy curriculum. Some of the resources are video lessons, some are downloadable lesson slides with audio from the teacher. The learning and support resources – videos, podcasts, lessons, resources and guides – have been developed to support pupils as they develop their money management skills, awareness of time, phonics and spelling skills.
Our Student Ambassadors have also created an innovative and interactive 4-part programme of lessons, Coding with Kids, to help teachers and pupils develop their coding skills using the free version of the Co-Spaces software.
