Who is the course for?
Working in close partnership with local community groups, Everyday Maths is an engaging and informative numeracy course for anyone over 19 who does not have GCSE maths or needs to refresh their maths skills.
What is the aim of the course?
The focus of the Everyday Maths course is on improving essential maths skills for everyday life. Delivered by qualified tutors, the course is designed to help adults acquire a greater understanding of current numeracy methods which will be useful in the workplace and at home.
Why should I get involved?
Maths is an essential part of daily life and the course will help participants to:.
- Apply maths skills to everyday life using basic maths concepts to, for example:
- Improve confidence when dealing with home budgeting and money.
- Understand percentages and discounts when shopping
- Apply maths skills to DIY projects, cooking and many more everyday tasks.
Where will the courses be held?

How long is the course?
Everyday Maths consists of three workshops, each two hours in length, run over consecutive weeks
What does it cost?
The course is entirely FREE, informal and fun. A free resource pack and refreshments will also be provided during the course.
