An extensive programme of relevant work-based professional placements is a core element of all our courses, providing you with practical, hands-on experience in the workplace. The College has developed an extensive network of over 750 work-placement partners, who support and work with you to ensure you make the most of your placement opportunities.
To explore a broader career outlook, all initial teacher education students, in addition to their school-based placements, undertake an additional two-week insight placement with one of our 150+ business and community partners. Click here to find out more.
Our Degree Enhancement programme is designed to help you to stand out from the crowd. The programme provides you with a range of opportunities to further enhance your skillset through optional short courses and volunteering opportunities within the College and within the community in areas relevant to your chosen career path. Our Careers Service is available to help guide and support you whilst you are studying at College and for two years after you graduate. Throughout your time at Stranmillis, you will have ongoing opportunities to meet with prospective employers at a range of careers fairs and events organised by the Careers Service.
