On Wednesday 14th June, Stranmillis University College will conclude a year of centenary celebrations with an event in the Assembly Buildings Conference Centre, Belfast. ‘Times and Seasons’ will be a musical reflection of Stranmillis across our 100-year history. Music has always been an integral part of the life of the College and the evening will bring together current and former students and staff to bring our celebrations to a close.

The event will be an opportunity to connect and re-connect; to join with old friends and remember your time at and memories of Stran, and to make new connections with the people and events which have been part of the history of the College before or after your time. As we look to the future, ‘Times and Seasons’ will bring us together as the Stran family.

And so, we need you! We need you to:

Firstly, we want you to come and make Times and Seasons a really special night. The event will take place on Wednesday 14th June at 7.30 in the Assembly Buildings Conference Centre, Belfast.  To book your place, please click here.

The evening will be a great opportunity to connect and reconnect with friends old and new. To ensure the evening is a success, we would ask if you would help spread word of the event with friends, family, colleagues and alumni by sharing details of it through your own social networks, word of mouth and the great Stranmillis grapevine. You can download the poster here or like/follow us on our social media (see links below) and share.

Along with current students and staff, we are recruiting for an alumni choir and instrumentalists to take part on the night under the expert direction of John Dallas, Wilfie Piper, Geoffrey Cherry, Richard Topping and Norman Richardson. We would love you to be a part of this. To register and for further details and rehearsal dates, click here.

Pictures speak a thousand words and, throughout the evening, we want to be able to show memories of your time at Stran on the big screen. If you have pictures that you can send (digital or hardcopies), please upload here, email them to marketing@stran.ac.uk or contact Katie on 02890 384 352 and we will arrange to get them and get them back to you

Throughout the evening, we want to show short video messages from those who attended Stran –  for example, what Stran meant to you, your favourite memory of college life or the impact it left on you.  Again, we need your help and would be delighted if you, or you with some of your classmates, would record a short video message on your phone (landscape please) and upload here.

We are really looking forward to finishing our Centenary by joining together for this special event and hope that you can be a part of this.

Thank You
