Course Overview BA Early Childhood Studies - Sheelagh Carville
Our Early Childhood Studies programme has been designed by professionals across the early childhood sector to meet the needs of current and future practitioners. The course provides a broad understanding of how young children think, learn and develop.
In addition to the 3-year full-time BA in Early Childhood Studies, the College offers a 4-year, part-time BA degree and, in partnership with the Regional Colleges, a Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies.
Advisor of Studies, Paula Carlin discusses the transition from Foundation Degree to BA Early Childhood Studies.
Work-based Placement
An extensive programme of work-based placements is an integral and core part of the Early Childhood Studies degree, allowing you to see your learning being put into practice in a supervised and supportive environment.
