BEd Post-Primary
The BEd Post-primary programme at Stranmillis is a flexible and exciting programme that allows you to study a main subject (Business and Enterprise, Mathematics, Religious Studies or Technology and Design) and a subsidiary subject (Computing, English, Mathematics, Physical Education, Religious Studies, Science or Technology), which you can also teach to GCSE level. Dr Irene Bell gives an overview of the BEd Post-primary programme at Stranmillis – a highly flexible programme that allows you to chose from over 20 combinations of main and subsidiary subjects to suit your individual subject strengths and interest.
Main Subjects
There are four Main Subject Pathways on the B.Ed. Post-primary programme – Business and Enterprise, Mathematics, Religious Studies, and Technology and Design. You also choose a subsidiary subject (from Computing, English, Mathematics, Physical Education, Religious Studies and Science), giving you the flexibility of over 20 subject combinations.
Business and Enterprise

Subsidiary Subjects
Whichever main pathway you choose, you will also choose and study a subsidiary subject alongside your main subject. Generally, you will be able to teach your subsidiary subject to GCSE level.
