Life Beyond the Classroom

There is so much more to life as a B.Ed. student at Stran than just the lecture theatre. School-based work placements are a vital part of the course, and you spend 7-9 weeks each year on placement in primary and secondary school settings. You also undertake a 2 week alternative placement in your final year and, in Year 3, have the opportunity to undertake an international study abroad placement at one of our partner universities.

On campus, there are a host of Students’ Union clubs, societies, events and volunteering activities to showcase your talents and enjoy student life to the full. The College’s Degree Enhancement programme offers a very broad programme to further enhance your employability. And if you want to enjoy an independent student experience, Stran Halls offers a comprehensive, affordable student living package.
