Stranmillis Students’ Union

We are an independent, democratically elected organisation that represents the needs of all students in the college, inside and outside of classes. We are responsible for what students call ‘stran life’ and everything it entails.

As a students’ union we are on your side and by your side every step of the way. Whether it’s to represent your views, thoughts and ideas around every aspect of your Stranmillis experience, ensure that your health and wellbeing is a primary focus, or making sure you have the support you need to excel in your academic studies.

As a student here at Stranmillis you automatically become a member of the SU. This allows you to come to all our events, join our clubs and societies, vote in elections and above all help create the community that makes this place so special. It starts with you!

Our Facilities

At Stranmillis, students are at the centre of everything that is done and that is the same with our Students’ Union facilities. Right at the heart of campus you’ll find our BRAND NEW SU Common Room and office located on the first floor of Central Building. You can call in here to speak to the President, buy tickets for events or chill out between classes, relaxing on a beanbag or playing a game of darts or pool. As well as this on the second floor of Central Building you’ll find our BRAND NEW student kitchen and social area. So whether you are a home student looking somewhere to heat up your lunch or you don’t want to make the trip back to your accommodation for a cup of tea we have got you sorted!
