Say No to Bullying
Bullying is a reoccurring issue within the primary school setting and can manifest itself in a variety of ways. The 'Say No to Bullying' lesson pack contains a lesson plan, audio story-lines and pupil activities to help pupils understand how they can be proactive in stopping bullying in their own school.
Lesson Plan
Say No to Bullying is a lesson designed to encourage discussion about the nature of bullying and how it can be prevented.
Children will:
- Use drama to explore the thoughts and feelings of characters within the video.
- Be able to recognise, discuss and understand the nature of bullying and the harm that it can cause.
- Understand different forms of bullying and how to prevent it from happening.

Mrs Turnbull Audio 1
In this audio clip the school principal, Mrs Turnbull, talks about bullying and discusses how this issue is currently impacting her school. She has encouraged her teachers to try to talk about the impact of bullying with their classes.

Resource Cards
The resource cards provide six different questions related to bullying. One will be given to each group and will act as a stimulus for group discussion, mind-mapping and their anti-bullying campaign. Click here to download the resource cards for use with the lesson.
Mrs Turnbull Audio 2
In this audio clip, Mrs Turnbull discusses the positive impact that the ‘anti-bullying campaign’ lessons have had. She has loved watching the children’s videos and is pleased that these campaigns have contributed to positive changes being made within her school!
