Lesson 11
...Oh, But What If You Fly?

...Oh, But What If You Fly?

Stepping out of our 'comfort zone' can be challenging; sometimes we focus on the bad things that might happen instead of the good. The '...Oh, But What If You Fly?' lesson pack contains a lesson plan, audio story-lines, a pupil worksheet and accompanying templates to facilitate a lesson that helps children to develop their individual creativity, while recognising the importance of working with others.

Lesson Plan

…Oh, But What If You Fly? is a lesson designed to demonstrate how every pupil is unique and has the ability to be creative individually, but something very special can be created if the whole class works together!

Children will:

  • Develop their own creative style by selecting their own materials and methods to experiment with.
  • Understand the properties of line and shape through ‘Zentangle art’.
  • Develop the skill of artistic commentary.

Sophie Audio 1

Within the storyline, we see see the class taking part in online learning. Classmate, Sophie, discusses her feelings on the matter and tells the children about an art lesson her class completed, which helped them to work together as a ‘whole class team’.
